To secure the energy needs of an economy growing at more than eight percent per year, the Indian Government has announced the creation of a national grid for gas pipelines, including efforts to build transnational pipelines. To meet the need for networking, international cooperation and international best practices, ASME is launching the ASME India Oil and Gas Pipeline Conference, the first of its kind in India. Organized by ASME, the International Petroleum Technology Institute, and the ASME Codes and Standards, the Conference takes place in New Delhi and brings together key corporate players in the onshore and offshore pipeline industry.

Over four days industry leaders, engineering professionals and policymakers from across India and the world will meet to learn the state of the art of their industry, issues and priorities for moving forward.

The 4-day conference begins on Monday, October 15, with tutorial sessions offered by internationally recognized pipeline engineers from around the world. Tutorial sessions will continue on Tuesday, October 16.

On Wednesday, October 17, the Conference officially opens. During these 2 days, delegates will have the opportunity to learn about challenging projects, emerging issues, international standards and the state of the art of pipeline engineering globally.

The conference promises to attract a highly distinguished panel of speakers for the conference as well as the pipeline tutorials. The conference creates a focal meeting point for the oil and gas pipeline industry and encourages interaction, networking, and dialogue on the latest trends, new technologies and policy implications.
