About the Conference
The Bioengineering Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers invites you to attend the 2010 Summer Bioengineering Conference which will be held in the spectacular Naples Grande Beach Resort. An outstanding scientific program has been planned:

Workshops will include the Lego Robotics Workshop and a special Grand Challenge to Predict In-Vivo Knee Loads. In addition, the winners of the Fung Young Investigator Award, the Mow Medal and the Lisnner Award will present special lectures at the conference.

Student Paper Competition Extended abstracts are solicited for student paper competitions at the levels of BS, MS and PhD. Students selected for the competition will be able to present their work in sessions where only student presentations are given both in dedicated student poster sessions and in highlighted PhD oral sessions. Cash awards will be made to the top papers. Further information and instructions for the Student Paper Competition submission process is available.

Technical Themes and Subthemes
Technical papers shall be presented in the following themes and subthemes:

Click on the link above for more informaiton on each theme.

Paper Submission
Technical papers, in the form of an Extended Abstract, on various topics of bioengineering and biomechanics are solicited for the conference. The conference will include plenary sessions, keynote lectures, and workshops on topics related to bioengineering and biomechanics. Industry participation is particularly welcome; indeed, we hope the conference will provide opportunities for fruitful communication between the research and industrial communities.

Authors should submit a PDF version of their extended abstract through the SBC2010 website. For assistance with submitting your extended abstract online, please view the author help manual.

All papers are expected to follow ASME editorial standards. All papers will be published in conference proceedings on CD-ROM available at the meeting.

Publication Schedule
If you are planning to submit an extended abstract for consideration, please note the SBC2010 publication schedule. Upon successful online submission, you will receive a confirmation and an assigned paper number. Late submissions may not be accepted.

For more information, view the full publication schedule. The paper submission deadlines are firm deadlines and cannot be changed.
