DESCRIPTION
An international
standard recognized in 30 countries, the ASME BPE (BioProcessing Equipment)
Standard deals with the requirements of the bioprocessing, pharmaceutical,
and other applicable industries with relatively high levels of hygienic
requirements, covering the subjects of materials, design, fabrication,
inspections, testing, and certification.
This practical
workshop will provide a foundational understanding of the ASME BPE standard
and how it is best applied to realize cost reduction, quality improvement
and regulatory compliance in bioprocess facilities. The emphasis of this
workshop will be on the practical application of the BPE standard to process
components, equipment and facilities.
A copy of
the 2009 ASME BPE Standard will be provided to each participant to complement
the workshop instructional materials.
Led by ASME BPE experts, this workshop will get you up to speed on current
trends in the Biopharm industry and learn how the ASME BPE standard is
used to address these trends. The workshop will include hands-on training
to demonstrate the applications of the BPE standard in the development
design and operation of bioprocessing facilities.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This workshop will benefit all personnel involved in the design, delivery
and operation of bioprocess facilities. Course content will assume fundamental
understanding of bioprocess technology, and will be appropriate for scientists,
engineers and managers at all levels.
INSTRUCTORS:
- David
Marks, President & Senior Consultant, DME Alliance and Chair, ASME
BPE Subcommittee on Design
- Marc Pelletier,
Director, Strategic Consulting Group, CRB, and Vice-Chair, ASME BPE
Subcommittee on Design
