Review Abstracts

Toolbar Location: Organize > Abstracts > Review Abstracts
 

Abstracts will appear by track and topic, and will contain the following fields: paper number, paper title, contact author name, and geographic ID. The geographic ID will allow you to sort abstracts submitted from a given section of the world: the Americas, Asia/Pacific, and Europe/Africa.

 

Abstract listings are divided into five parts: abstracts awaiting acceptance, abstracts accepted awaiting session assignment, abstracts accepted and assigned to session, abstracts rejected, abstracts withdrawn author requests reinstatement, abstracts withdrawn no request reinstate and abstracts removed. You can expand all sections by choosing Expand All from the top of the screen. To close all sections, choose Collapse All. You can expand/collapse an individual section by clicking on the plus/minus (+/-) sign next to each section heading.
 

Accept Abstracts

Accepts the abstract and invites the author to submit a draft for technical review

Toolbar Location: Organize > Abstracts > Review Abstracts

 

 

Reject Abstracts

Rejects the abstract and advises the author his/her content is not suitable for the conference

Toolbar Location: Organize > Abstracts > Review Abstracts

 

Remove Abstracts

Removes the abstract from the conference; used for duplicate abstracts, dummy abstracts, etc.

Toolbar Location: Organize > Abstracts > Review Abstracts

 

Re-Assign Abstracts

Moves the abstract from your track/topic to another track/topic

Toolbar Location: Organize > Abstracts > Review Abstracts

 

NOTE: Once a selection is made, you will return to the paper listing. As you review each abstract and accept or reject, the paper record will automatically be removed from this view of the listing and be included in another listing: accepted abstracts drop to the accepted, awaiting session assignment list, rejected to the rejected list, etc.

 

Assign to Session

Assigns the accepted abstract to a session

Toolbar Location: Organize > Abstracts > Assign to Session

 

 

You can also assign an abstract to a session by clicking on the paper number on the Assign Paper to Session page.

 

 

NOTE: Once a selection is made, you will return to the paper listing. As you review each abstract and accept or reject it, the paper record will automatically be removed from this view of the listing and be included in another listing: assigned abstracts will drop to the awaiting session assignment list, rejected abstracts will drop to the rejected abstract list.
 

Adjusting Paper Type

Toolbar Location: Organize > Papers > Paper Status

Allows you to update the paper type and/or paper order of the abstract submitted.

 

 

NOTE: If you are unsure of what the paper types are please review the definitions of each type.

 

Adjusting Presentation Order

Toolbar Location: Organize > Papers > Paper Status

Allows you to update the presentation order in which the papers will be presented at the conference.

 

 

View All Abstracts

Provides a “read-only” view of all abstracts

Toolbar Location: Organize > Abstracts > View All Abstracts
